BLOCK PARTY by Stylo Fantôme: Cover Reveal

Title: Block Party
Series: Twin Estates #3
Author: Stylo Fantôme
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Cover Design: Najla Qamber Designs
Release Date: December 19, 2017

Things you need for a good Block Party:

1. Awesome food

2. Great Music

3. Fun games

4. A secret spot to hook up with your even-more-secret girlfriend.

Liam Edenhoff is a simple creature. He likes women, tacos, and sex. As long as he has those in his life, everything is good. He's finally realizing maybe he's just not cut out for relationships - surely there's got to be a woman out there who'd be okay with roof top margaritas, casual sex, and no attachments.

Enter a new neighbor - one who is allergic to commitment and prefers her sex casual but frequent. She's seen him at his worst and is still willing to play his games, on three conditions - discretion is a must, casual is key, and absolutely no drama. Sounds like the perfect arrangement. What could go wrong?

Famous last words when dealing with neighbors.

This story contains scenes of a graphic sexual nature, multiple uses of coarse language, and more tacos than is healthy or sane to read about. Reader discretion is advised.

This is the third installment in the Twin Estates series

Author Bio

Crazy woman from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.

I like dogs more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't understand me.

Yeah. I think that about sums me up.

FIND A PENNY by L.L.Meyer: ARC review

Find a Penny (The Penny Books, #3)Find a Penny by L.L. Meyer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Oh, that book!!! Fair warning: It's one steamy storie you don't want to read in public, hehe...

I've been intrigued by, or rather should I say, totally swooning over Jase from the first book of the series,  so it was very exciting to finally get a book from his point of view!

Also, I was curious about how LL MEYER would approach that new dynamic, or even about what the dynamic would be. In a way it surprised me, although I 'm glad she chose to take her characters on that dangerous and tricky, but super interesting and panty melting path!!!  I expected it to be hot, but I was far from imagining how hot it actually would be!!!

The atmosphere is a bit different in this 3d installment, with more dramas, and darker emotions; it broke my heart more than once. Jase is his true self and if I thought his relationship with the little spitfire that is Avery (I love that name btw) was going to be easier than Dane and Lily's, I was totally wrong. Guilt, doubts, insecurities and jealousy are a constant in this.... dare I say....mess. Because in that kind of relationship nothing is easy and dealing with everyone's emotions and feelings is a true challenge,  one the author handled with talent! Well done, lady!!!

Behind the Bars by Brittainy C. Cherry

Release Date: December 7th, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance

Cover Designer: Kandi Steiner

When I first met Jasmine Greene, she came in as raindrops.

I was the awkward musician, and she was the high school queen.

The only things we had in common were our music and our loneliness.

Something in her eyes told me her smile wasn’t always the truth.

Something in her voice gave me a hope I always wished to find.

And in a flash, she was gone.

Years later, she was standing in front of me on a street in New Orleans.

She was different, but so was I. Life made us colder. Harder. Isolated.

Even though we were different, the broken pieces of me recognized the sadness in her.

Now she was back, and I wouldn’t make the mistake of letting her go again.

When I first met Jasmine Greene, she came in as raindrops.

When we met again, she was the darkest storm.

I'M SAWREE by B.B. Blaque : ARC review

I'm SawreeI'm Sawree by B.B. Blaque
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

WOW, just W.O.W....

I'm Sawree was exactly the book I needed! I've been curious about it since I saw a teaser that struck me a couple months ago, and it didn't disappoint.

It follows the life of Sawree, a young woman who is the only witness of the massacre of 9 people in a church in 82. (I'm a not going to say more as each additional info might be a potential spoiler... )

There are warnings in the blurb and you need heed them, because they are accurate and different from what we are used to. No hero, no romance and no HEA... How does that sound? It scared me....but I was so intrigued!!!

One week since I finished it and I'll still in awe of the author's writing and storytelling. It's what I call a masterpiece; as a psychological thriller, it had everything I love. The mystery, the wondering, the anticipation. The characters, particularly Sawree were incredibly portrayed, really complex. They kept me on my toes as the story dug into their lives. The psychological aspect was very interesting, and at times truly frightening.

Reading I'm Sawree is like riding a roller coaster that would never go downward. Always higher, faster, twisting and turning until the end, that sends you free falling. There were hints all along (and I'm pretty sure that if I reread, I'd find more of them), enough to keep me on edge and captivated, not enough to really give anything away, though.
The succession of short chapters, from 3 point of view gives the rhythm, definitely fast-paced; easy, I simply couldn't put it down, with the exception of a few short but essential breathers.
It pushed me (propelled me) out of my comfort zone, it was crazy, maddening, sometimes sickening. Challenging, it made me think and then think harder, trying to see how the pieces of the puzzle could fit together. And even if I (quite early) guessed some parts, I was very very far from the whole picture! And what picture it was! Be prepared to be shocked!

That book is the kind of gripping read that sucks you into the story, until bam, you're hit square in the face, and then boom, it's finished and you're left wondering what just happened...

Here are words that are going to stay with me forever:
“I told you long ago that I’d truly make you hate me . . . to hold those feelings until I gave you good reason . . . they’re coming, Sawree.”

Mr. NORTH by Callie Hart : Release Blitz + Review

Mr. NorthMr. North by Callie Hart
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I don't even know where to start my review. Callie Hart is one of my favorite authors, one I automatically one-click; I have read all her books and absolutely loved every one of them. Except Mr. NORTH. Seriously I didn't even think there would be one thing she wrote and that I wouldn't love. And yet, there it is.

The main issue I had with it, is that I couldn't even recognize the tone and the atmosphere.  I smiled and laughed at scenes but I'm still wondering if they were meant to be funny or not. Was it a mystery? I considered at one point that there will be a huge mindfuck.... still waiting.

What bothered me too is that some of the characters's actions seemed rushed (Raph's feelings) or out of the blue (the bdsm part). I would have loved more build up or anticipation, which would have make me FEEL.

Because, yes, there were emotions, but clearly I didn't feel them, it's the classic case if show, don't tell...

I didn't recognize Callie's writing in Mr. NORTH. Where were her complex and perfectly portrayed characters? The strong plot that usually captivates me? I tried, really tried to like it and I'm really sorry I didn't.

Mr. North by Callie Hart

Law student Beth Dreymon is out of money and struggling hard. If she wants to finish her degree, she’s going to have to earn some money and fast. When she learns of an exciting opportunity—playing chess with New York’s most elusive billionaire—the offer sounds too good to be true. Reassured the offer is legit, Beth gets her game face on and prepares to geek out...

Only, when she steps foot into Raphael North’s luxurious penthouse, the rulebook goes flying out of the floor-to-ceiling windows. North is beautiful and damaged—a terrible temptation—and he has his sights set on winning Beth over. He’s just a job, though. A job Beth needs in order to make ends meet. If she plans on making her life in New York work, she needs to keep her eye on the prize. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, however, and it isn’t long before Beth finds herself entangled in Raphael’s world of dark desire.

Beth should run from the devastatingly attractive blue-eyed devil, but Mr North has other ideas…and he’s about to make his next move.

Raphael North stands on the other side of the abnormally thick glass. He’s dressed in a plain dark blue t-shirt, and a pair of washed out blue jeans. His feet are completely bare. His hair is even darker than it was in his picture, if that’s at all possible. Almost curly, too. It’s then that I realize it’s wet—he must have just gotten out of the shower. There are small dark patches on his t-shirt where water has obviously soaked through the material.
He turns those startling vivid green eyes on me and I’m breathless all over again. It feels like I’m tumbling over some steep cliff face, a weightless sensation turning my stomach over as I fall. Inside, I’m back to wanting to flee the building. Externally, I’m praying to deities of faiths and religions all over the world that I don’t look like I’m about to slump in an unconscious mess on the floor right in front of him. My top lip begins to twitch—something that only happens when I’m really, really anxious. Without thinking, I press my fingertips to my mouth, as if I can put a halt to the twitching by touch alone. A strange look passes over Raphael’s face. A slight movement at the corner of his mouth. I can’t decide if it’s displeasure or amusement. Either way, the reaction is fleeting, barely noticeable at all, and then his face is a blank mask again. He places his hand on a curved silver handle on the other side of the door, and then pulls it toward him, opening it. There are no barriers now. Nothing standing between myself and a man whispered and gossiped about by an entire city. Screw that, an entire nation. I’m in an enviable position right now, but I’d gladly thank the universe if the ground opened up and swallowed me whole.
The first words Raphael North speaks to me will haunt me until the day I die. He angles his head ever so slightly to one side, then says, “Your toenail polish is chipped, Ms. Dreymon.”
Lord have mercy. His voice is deep but soft. It has no hard edges, but at the same time his tone is overflowing with self-confidence and command.
“I’m sorry, I…wasn’t aware of your no-shoe policy.”

FOREVER YOURS (LETTERS IN BLOOD #3) by Liz Lovelock: Release Blitz + Review

Forever Yours (Letters in Blood, #3)Forever Yours by Liz Lovelock
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

(My review is going to be quite short, as I don't want to give anything away and spoil the mystery for you.)

When I started that third opus in the Letters in Blood series, I was very curious to see where the author was going to lead us, and most of all, I couldn't wait to finally get the answers to the whole mystery.

In that way, Forever Yours didn't disappoint, with flashbacks taking us back to the hell that was Elenore's childhood, and with revelations and pieces of the whole puzzle little by little falling into place. The mystery was gripping, making me wonder, think, suspect, until the last revelations.

Unfortunately, the romance part didn't convince me, I just couldn't relate to Elenore's feelings toward Roman or her captor. It was something that already bothered me in the previous book, and it didn't change in this one. She is conflicted, but I couldn't feel her conflict.(view spoiler) I appreciated though, the ending (view spoiler).

THE OUTLIERS by T.M. Frazier : Blog Tour

The Outliers, the stunning conclusion to The Outskirts Duet by T.M. Frazier is available NOW!

The Outliers cover

The Outliers by T.M. Frazier

Release Date: November 9th, 2017 Genre: Contemporary Romance

Sensual. Heartbreaking. Passionate. Overwhelming. Maddening.

That’s the love Finn and I share.

It's the kind you can never recover from.

The kind you never WANT to recover from.

That's why we'll do everything and anything to protect it.

When my past chases me all the way to Outskirts, we have to make a choice.

Let the lies destroy our chance at future together or...bury them deep in the swamp where they belong.

Got a shovel?

My eyes went to her throat. I saw her pulse quicken beneath her smooth skin. She twisted her pouty pink lips. Her hesitation only lasted a second before she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down closer so that the tips of our noses touched. Her lips feathered against mine. "Fuck me, Finn." "Yes," I growled. I may have been the one who told her to say those words but hearing them out of her mouth caused the raging inferno of lust within me to explode beyond control. I had a feeling I'd be hearing those words on repeat in my head for the rest of my life. Fuck me, Finn. I lifted her up onto the nearest table and pushed her onto her back. I tore her panties off in one tug and while I devoured her with my eyes, I somehow managed to concentrate enough to unbuckle my belt and push my jeans down over my ass, freeing my throbbing cock. Sawyer moaned when I parted her legs, stepping between them. The sound was pure fucking heaven. Our tongues danced while we drank each other in. I savored the way her body felt against mine. Hard against soft. I dug my fingers into the flesh of her perfectly round ass before moving them to her pussy where I parted her warm wet folds and strummed her swollen clit because Sawyer was my instrument of choice and only I knew how to play her to perfection. The look on Sawyer's face when I inserted a finger inside of her was as if I'd just given her a drug. She was high on the pleasure. Her lids were heavy. Her pupils large and dark. I was dead set on making sure I wrung every bit of pleasure from her gorgeous body and I gave her exactly what she’d asked me for. DUETCOMPLETE1

Not Even Death: Infinite Master Collection (Complete series Book 5)Not Even Death: Infinite Master Collection by B.B. Blaque
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Not Even Death is my second series by B.B. Blaque and each time, her writing blows my mind. She truly has a way with words, making me think and feel whatever her characters go through.

This series is the journey of Cali, whose husband, Markus, passed a few months ago. As a slave, she finds herself alone at the estate, and with no purpose after her Master's death.

Each book focuses on a lesson she has to learn in order to first, find the willpower to go on, then, to open her wings, let go and re-learn to fly, then, to not dwell on the past, and finally to choose if she wants to stay in the lifestyle or not.

Her story was beautiful, heartbreaking, scorching hot and even sometimes confusing (in a good way, I can assure you, because that author likes to mess with her readers...).

Not Even Death was nothing like the other BDSM books I had read before. Cali's psychological evolution, her emotions, the way she thinks simply felt real. I actually could feel the connection (and what a wonderful connection there is/was) between Cali and her Masters, and I had only one word : finally! The cherry on the cake was hands down the BDSM scenes, which were exceptional, like a fireworks of sensations, really.

As Cali's journey progresses, with each book, a new master will help her with the challenging tests she'll have to take. My favorite was Blaze, the musician from the second book, STILL Your Master. He was the one that touched me the most, his fun and caring personnality was swoon-worthy, and his wicked ways were... well, I'll let you find out by yourself. In my opinion his lesson was maybe the most important for Cali to remember.

But, be it through Derrick, Blaze,  or Jordan, Markus' gift to Cali was perfect. I cried and laughed, even got mad at Markus, at all of these men even, but in the end, there was nothing more romantic than what Markus had planned for Cali. THAT IS A FANTASTIC LOVE STORY..

BAD by Stevie. Cole & L.P. Lovell: Release Blitz + Review

Bad (Bad. Dirty. Power. #1)Bad by Stevie J. Cole
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Stevie J. Cole and L.P. Lovell are an incredible pair when it comes to writing about power games. With Bad, first installment in the BAD. DIRTY. POWER series, they will take you for a hell of a ride, until you're left uterly breathless (and frustrated, but in the best way).

Take a lioness, feisty, badass daughter and sister of Mexican Cartel lords. Here is Camilla. Now imagine her as a captive of the Russian mafia's most powerful leader. Yes, things are going to get messy real fast. Fearless, angry, Camilla fight with everything she can think of. She is FIRE.

Meet Ronan, controlled, dark, dangerous, manipulator and player. COLD. With a god complex, his ego knows no boundaries.

When two of the most ruthless people collide, be ready to be caught in the crossfire.  Guns, fire, knives, car chases, both of them are ruthless, toward each other and any enemy daring defy them; BLOOD will be shed... and they are glorious in their violence.

I loved the tone of their encounters; it's explosive. They push each others buttons, keep challenging, circling, gauging each other. They dance a lethal tango, the sexual tension and anticipation almost palpable.

Scorching hot, crazy, intense, fast paced, with some twists and suspenseful moments, fabulous comebacks and and ending that made me scream, I need the next opus!!! (And no stabbing, I promise !)

True power is never held by good men, only the most perfect of villains. And she and I are both villains...

I stole her, and she's so very angry. The cartel princess doesn't like being a pretty little pawn. She fights me when she should fear me. But oh, how her defiance excites me.

She would kill me if she could, and I'd ruin her if I had an ounce less control. What a twisted game we play with sweet threats and cruel promises. I crave her madness in the most depraved ways because I know she'll be so beautiful when she bleeds.

A queen who could set the world on fire and a king who would call it rain. Two very bad people who want very bad things are never safe together.

I ogle him with his golden hair, bare chest, and board shorts, and my body thrums the closer he gets, the heavy ache building low within me.
“Good morning.” He wades into the water.
Before I can respond, his lips are on mine, kissing me like it’s been years. He pushes me backward, deeper into the water until I’m chest-deep and he’s holding me by the waist.
“Hi.” I’m dazed and breathless.
He smiles, kisses my cheek, and slips his hand under my swimsuit to squeeze my ass cheek. I copy him, wriggling my hand into his shorts and digging my fingers into the firm flesh of his ass. We laugh, and it’s then I notice the dark circles under his eyes.
“When was the last time you slept?”
“I’ve had naps here and there over the past few days. I’m exhausted. Eli called a break because he needed to see Crystal. I have the rest of the day. Can you play hooky with me?”
“I can’t.”
Sinking his fingers into my dry hair, piled high on the top of my head, he cocks his head to the side and purses his lips.
“I didn’t think so but thought I’d ask. I miss you so much, my beautiful girl.”’
He pulls me into his chest and kisses the top of my head. I sink into his warm embrace and try to keep the tears back.
This man never ceases to surprise me. I never knew how much I needed someone like him, until now. His lips peck at the corner of my mouth before he breaks away to study me. My eyes glitter with the threat of tears. Shit.
“What’s wrong? Fuck, did I do something?”
“No, not at all. These are silly tears of joy. I’m glad to see you. I miss you, too.”
He pulls me in for one more hug. “Come sleep with me for a bit.” He burrows his face into my neck, his moist lips sucking on my skin.
My heart sinks. “I can’t. I’ve got work.”
He groans, the rumble vibrating from his mouth to my neck and down into my chest. I shiver, holding him tighter.
