I can't believe it's been one year since I dove into Sal's world. Whether you're new to him, or you already are familiar with his story, this is the box set you need if you want to find out how Sal became the man he now is.
Four books, FOUR DIFFERENT ATMOSPHERES, four gripping stories, ONE EPIC JOURNEY that sent my mind into overdrive. And what an experience! I almost felt like I lived everything he went through.
In The Initiation, you'll get to meet the young Salvatore, a pretty, submissive, young man, and the other protagonists of the Juliet world. Intriguing, this first opus sets the decor and opens the door towards an incredibly promising universe.
Tea for Two was the first teeny-weeny glimpse (compared to what's coming next, that is!) of the depth of the storyline I was already becoming so addicted to. It made me think, wonder about the possibilities of the future bigger picture.
In Grunt, OMG, here we are. Sal in all his complexity. Juliet. Sibyl. Kaci. Iris. The deceits, the loneliness, his need for love (and the aversion to bananas, lol). Grunt is my favorite of the series, the thrill was real, the emotions palpable.
Hopechest broke my heart. Everything intensifies: the relationships between the characters, the strong bonds, the brilliantly woven ties, the raw emotions.
Trying to summarize everything I felt when reading The Story of Salvatore is truly difficult, as the author built such an amazing backstory. Once started, I couldn't stop thinking, making all kinds of hypotheses. I bit my nails in anguish. I bit my lips when I reached the deliciously sensual and erotic parts.
In a word I hope you'll fall in love with Sal, in all his glorious darkness, his strengths and vulnerabilities. His maddening story is truly something else. I like discovering new authors and I admit that my tastes in books evolved thanks to Mrs Samuels' unique and challenging style.
