With this last installment in the Sinners of Saint series, L.J. Shen surpassed all her other works.

Be it thanks to an exceptional characterisation, a suspenseful plot that left me wondering for a good while, or all the feelings it brought out of me, I loved it.

At first I thought Edie was a little brat trying to get back at her parents, or maybe just trying to kill the time, but that's so not what she was. At 18, she is feisty, sassy, reckless but also such a mature young woman! She is thoughtful, determined, clever, she looks out for people who might need her.

Trent wasn't the asshole I expected him to be, being a Hothole and all. To say is his nice and sweet would be lying, though, but he is so much more than just broody and "mute"... I haven't seen such a masterfully portrayed character in a long time. Multi - layered, I kept falling in love with him a little more with each chapter... what got my attention was his relationship with her daughter, which pretty much held all the story together. Thinking of Luna, she is the only little girl character that, IMHO, and in all the books I have read, was a total success. Her role in Scandalous was as important as Trent's or Edie's, and she was just perfect. I loved how conflicted Edie and Trent were, about their relationship, and their own private lives, and at the same time how evident it all became when they were around Luna.

Intensity, smoking hot chemistry, sweet moments, swoon-worthy scenes, a scandal ready to explode, situations thet will make you scream of rage (or frustration), don't wait any longer, Scandalous is the book you are waiting for in this series, it's just magnificent!!!
