My rating: 5 of 5 stars
It's been a while since it happened to me but there's one thing I can tell, Church utterly blew my mind.
After the end, it took me a moment to gather my thoughts, to try and write my review: where to begin when there are so many things to say!
What a strange and unexpected story...The fact that I went into it completely blind accentuated the surprise, but it also made the experience all the more interesting.
With this new release Stylo Fantôme once again explored another genre. What starts and an intriguing stepbrother/stepsister romance little by little unveils and explores the darkness of the human mind.
Addictive and disturbing, Chruch and Emma's story is a true descent to hell, and at some time I even took a little break to better savour the last part...Talk about bad influence and toxic love. It's crazy how two people can bring out the worst of one another, a stark contrast to what we are used to, and I loved the challenge it represents.
Emma's addiction and Church's insanity were perfectly handled, the author delving and dissecting their psyche. The perversion and manipulation of these two young broken souls were enticing and at the same time heart-wrenching.
Thanks to a tight and well structured plot, the journey is one I'm not going to forget soon. Enjoy!
I VOLUNTARILY REVIEWED AN ARC COPY OF THIS BOOK. THANK YOU!!!

Author Bio
Crazy woman
from a remote location in Alaska (where the need for a creative mind is a
necessity!), I have been writing since ... forever? Yeah, that sounds about
right. I have been told that I remind people of Lucille Ball - I also see
shades of Jennifer Saunders, and Denis Leary. So basically, I laugh a lot, I'm
clumsy a lot, and I say the F-word A LOT.
I like dogs
more than I like most people, and I don't trust anyone who doesn't drink. No, I
do not live in an igloo, and no, the sun does not set for six months out of the
year, there's your Alaska lesson for the day. I have mermaid hair - both a
curse and a blessing - and most of the time I talk so fast, even I can't
understand me.
Yeah. I
think that about sums me up.
