PROPERTY OF (The Masters M.C. #1) by B.b Blaque: Review

The Masters M.C.: Property OfThe Masters M.C.: Property Of by B.B. Blaque
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Following Tuesday and Colt's story, you'll be  immersed in the life of the Masters MC. And more than a MC way of life, a BDSM MC way of life... Eek... that's a lot to take in. Like  every simple B.b Blaque book, Property Of was quite eye opening. If you are familiar with  this  author's writing, then you know that you're going to be challenged; this time wasn't any different and wow, it surprised me, on different levels.

First, I expected a darker, more twisted story... Eh! Colt made me swoon from the beginning, with his caring and protective personnality. Ah, but be careful because he is a true Master and won't hesitate to bring Tuesday where he wants her! Besides, when /if the moment comes to neutralize the threats, he isn't the man to back down either.

Secondly, I'm not new to MC books but clearly Property Of has a different vibe. It felt real, thanks to a very precise vocabulary and the use of protocols and rules that made me feel what it must be to live that life. That's when I'll put my bemol, because unfortunately, part of me couldn't accept some concepts and visions of the relationships. (Tuesday, I'm sorry but I'll pass on your offer, at least for now...). Now, it's just my opinion, and maybe a strong reflex, too, so don't let this deter you from jumping in!

The characters are fantastic, I connected right away with Tuesday (and her habit of running away, hehe). She is strong and feisty like my favorite heroines. The chemistry between her and Colt was undeniable and what to say of the sex scenes? Clearly if you have the feeling of reading the same scenes again and again,  you clearly need to take a look at Property Of!

Intense with a god dose of humor and action, this book is definitely  a must read,  if you like MC  and BDSM stories. Enjoy!

NASTY (Dirty Nast Freaks, #2) by Callie Hart;?: Review

Nasty (Dirty Nasty Freaks, #2)Nasty by Callie Hart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Isn't Fix a nasty guy....

Dirty left me screaming and Nasty started out, not on the same vibe, but what an introduction, or rather re-introduction to Sera and Fix's incredible chemistry.... woo....Callie Hart wrote  some  memorable, and some of my favorite sex scenes in her other books, and I could recognize her style in Nasty.

That 2nd installment is more than chemistry, sex and passion, though. The remaining questions and mystery had me riveted to the pages. Chapter after chapter, the main characters reveal  their  pasts through rather gruesome flashbacks, giving some answers concerning Fix, and mostly leaving me with more questions about Sera. That brought out a very fun brainstorming session with a good book friend, when the most crazy theories was imagined.

I loved the trust and bond Sera and Fix share. They have also an interesting dynamic. Fix is dangerous but also very protective. Sera is strong, and we learn her how strong she can be, but she has deep vulnerabilities, too.

Eventually, Nasty finished in apotheosis, with a suspenseful, and adrenaline (and testosterone) filled predicament.... TWIST. I'm still in the impossibly to choose what I would like to happen. But, seriously, who am I kidding? I know what my choice would be and I can't wait to read Freaks to find out where Callie is going to lead us.

REBEL by Lauren Lovell: Cover Reveal

Rebel, an all-new standalone contemporary Romance by Lauren Lovell (LP LOVELL) is releasing June 7th!

I’m Blake McQueen, daughter of Miles McQueen: businessman, politician, all around upstanding member of the community. I’m told that name means something, but well, I’ve pretty much doused it in petrol, set it on fire, and taken a shit on it for good measure. I like to think of myself as a walking middle finger. My name is now synonymous with all forms of debauchery. I have to read the newspaper most mornings just to see where I was last night and my state of inebriation. Judge me all you like, love me, hate me. I don’t care. Life’s a party and you should never stop dancing. But even the sweetest of highs has it’s low. There is only so high you can go before you fall, and fall I did, right into the arms of the only man that could possibly stop me from crashing and burning. I’ve always been untouchable. I’ve never cared enough to be touchable. Until now. Rebellion never felt so good.

Lauren Lovell is an indie author from England. She suffers from a total lack of brain to mouth filter and is the friend you have to explain before you introduce her to anyone, and apologize for afterwards. She's a self confessed shameless pervert, who may be suffering from slight peen envy.

TACET A MORTUIS by Amo Jones: Release Blitz & Review Tour

Tacet a Mortuis (Whispers from the Dead) (The Elite Kings Club, #3)Tacet a Mortuis (Whispers from the Dead) by Amo Jones
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

What a surprise to find out that what I thought was a trilogy was, in fact, going to be a 13 books series!

TACET A MORTUIS  is the last book told from Bishop and Madison's point of view and it opens the plot for more of the other characters.

Just like in the first two books, we get answers but we are left with so many more questions! How frustrating, right?

That's what I actually regret, but at the same time it is also a part of this intricate and crazy storyline. It's how he story is built and truly, it works. I fear that may be, one day, to much suspense is going to make me lose interest, but we are far from here, I was riveted to the pages. I can't tell you how much I love that kind of reads: intriguing, mysterious, that sends my mind reeling with the possibilities.

Madison and Bishop are true to themselves, and I came to terms with the fact that, let's be honest, I don't like them. Madison's immature behavior and actions unnerved me. Once more. Bishop is cruel,   when clearly he and Madison share so much, but I admit that I loved the complexity of his character. Of all of the characters. Because finally, in that series, nothing's easy. You'll find multi-layered truths and multi-layered personalities. In that resides the magic recipe of the series, again, if it's your kind of dark reads!

BANE by L.J. Shen: BLOG TOUR: Review & Excerpt

Bane (Sinners of Saint, #4)Bane by L.J. Shen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Spoiler: the princess saves herself in this fairytale."

I know I'm not going to be the most original woman saying that but I'M IN LOVE WITH BANE! With this spinoff of the HotHoles series, L.J. When delivers a read that made me swoon from the first to the last page.

Bane is my favorite of L.J. Shen's books, with Sparrow. Beautifully written, it could totally relate to the characters; the playful tone brilliantly counterbalanced the heavy topics.

It's angsty, poignant but also very funny and hopeful.

Ah, did I love Bane and Jesse, such powerful and strong characters, who riveted me from the beginning. A hot pro- surfer who rules the area, and indulges in quite interesting activities. A young woman facing more demons than anyone should have to face.

Sizzling chemistry, anticipation to will make you pant, and totally swoon-worthy yet raw moments, this is the kind of story that can't let you unfeeling. Mixed with mystery, intrigue, passion, it's a cocktail I'll never tire of!

"I was about to drag her back to society. She could come alone, or with her demons. I really didn’t fucking care."

Lovers of second chance stories and healing characters, Bane is for you!

Bane, the highly-anticipated next standalone in the Sinners of Saint Series by L.J. Shen is LIVE

Naked surfer. Habitual pothead. A con, a liar, a thief and a fraud.

Last I heard, he was extorting the rich and screwing their wives for a living.

Which is why I’m more than a little surprised to find him at my threshold, looking for my friendship, my services, and most puzzling of all—looking humbled.

Thing is, I’m on a boycott. Literally—I cut boys from my life. Permanently.

Problem is, Bane is not a boy, he is all man, and I’m falling, crashing, drowning in his sweet, perfect lies.

Jesse Carter

Hot as hell, cold as ice.

I wasn’t aware of her existence until a fat, juicy deal landed in my lap.

She’s a part of it, a little plaything to kill some time.

She is collateral, a means to an end, and a side-bonus for striking a deal with her oil tycoon stepdad.

More than anything, Jesse Carter is a tough nut to crack.

Little does she know, I have the f****** teeth for it.

Bane Then. A liar. A con. A godless thief. My reputation was a big wave that I rode, one that swallowed everyone around me, drowning every attempt to fuck with what’s mine. I’d been known as a stoner, but power was my real drug of choice. Money meant nothing. It was tangible, and therefore easy to lose. See, to me, people were a game. One I’d always known how to win. Move the rooks around. Change the queen when necessary. Guard the king at all fucking times. I was never distracted, never deterred, and never jealous. So, imagine my surprise when I found myself being all three at once. It was a siren with coal black hair who robbed me of riding the biggest wave I’d seen that summer. Of my precious attention. Of my goddamn breath. She glided from the ocean to the beach like nightfall. I crouched down, straddling my surfboard, gawking. Edie and Beck stopped beside me, floating on their boards in my periphery. “This one’s taken by Emery Wallace,” Edie had warned. Thief. “This one’s the hottest masterpiece in town.” Beck had chuckled. Con. “More importantly, she only dates rich bastards.” Liar. I had all the ingredients to pull her in. Her body was a patch of fresh snow. White, fair, like the sun shone through her, never quite soaking in. Her skin defied nature, her ass defied my sanity, but it was the words on her back that made my logic rebel. It wasn’t her curves or the way she swayed her hips like a dangling, poisonous apple that warranted my reaction to her. It was that tattoo I had noticed when she swam close to me earlier, the words trickling down the nape of her neck and back in a straight arrow. My Whole Life Has Been Pledged to This Meeting with You Pushkin. I only knew one person who went gaga over the Russian poet, and, like the famous Alexander, he was currently six feet under. My friends began to paddle back to shore. I couldn’t move. It felt like my balls were ten tons heavy. I didn’t believe in love at first sight. Lust, maybe, but even that wasn’t the word I was looking for. No. This girl fucking intrigued me. “What’s her name?” I snatched Beck’s ankle, yanking him back to me. Edie stopped pedaling and looked back, her gaze ping-ponging between us. “Doesn’t matter, bro.” “What’s. Her. Name?” I repeated through a locked jaw. “Dude, she’s, like, way young.” “I will not repeat myself a third time.” Beck’s throat bobbed with a swallow. He knew damn well that I didn’t mess around. If she was legal—it was on. “Jesse Carter.” Jesse Carter was going to be mine before she even knew me. Before I even knew her. Before her life turned upside down and her fate rewrote itself with her blood. So here was the truth that even my lying ass wouldn’t admit later on in our story—I wanted her before. Before she became business. Before the truth caged her in. Before the secrets gushed out. I never did get to surf that day. My surfboard broke. Should have known it was an omen. My heart was going to be next in line. And for a small chick, she did one hell of a fucking job obliterating it. BANE_AVAILABLE NOW

BAD BOY BRODY by Tijan: Review

Bad Boy BrodyBad Boy Brody by Tijan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

If you are in the mood for a sweet, beautiful and raw story, don't wait any longer, Bad Boy Brody is the one you need.

When a famous actor meets a woman who is as wild as the horses she lives with,  the most improbable love story blossoms. Both main characters are broken by tragedies that blew their lives. Unexpectedly, against their opposite way of living, they will find their way to each other, eventually learn to trust,  live again and heal their wounds.

I loved Morgan and Brody's connection, the respect of their respective limits, the evidence of their bond.

Morgan is most certainly one of the most surprising heroines I have read about in a long time. I found the way she communicates with horses, reads them and is a part of their herd, fascinating.  She is like the wind, impossible to contain. She is here and then she is gone. It definitely give an ethereal vibe I adored.

The mysterious atmosphere, the need to know more had me riveted, intrigued me. Between Morgan's strange relationship with her siblings, Brody's obligations a an actor, loneliness rules.  And it definitely touched me.

KNOTTED (TRAIL OF SINS #1) by Pam Godwin

Knotted (Trails of Sin, #1)Knotted by Pam Godwin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

With Knotted, Pam Goldwin once again proved how talented she is (if anyone still need a proof, that is!).

It was my first Cowboy story, it's a genre I don't usually read... but I love her writing style so much that I never considered NOT reading it.

You'll meet 3 determined guys, men, the twins (Jake and Jarret) and Lorne ( Conor's brother), as well as a feisty but sweet Conor.

All of them grew together as family while Conor and Jake developed feelings for each other. That's how the story begins, rather sweetly, when everything is brutally and violently taken from them. Their lives are broken and everything they thought they knew shattered. In a matter of a few chapters I had chills and tears in the eyes.

Omg, the emotions in that story! Mainly I was heartbroken, but the helplessness, the loneliness  and the unfairness weren't far behind. The need for answers, and the captivating plot had me furiously turning the pages.

Sad, angsty and intriguig, Knotted is the kind of thrilling read whose characters will have you swooning, and at the same time screaming in frustration. An alpha hero, a resilient heroine, secrets and lies, it had eveything to be a straight 5 stars read, but unfortunately the whole "therapy" concept didn't work for me. I won't elaborate because I don't want to spoil the book; it's a large part of the story, and I simply think that you can't "heal" someone that way,  and therapy isn't something you can impovise.

As I'm finishing  this review I still don't know if I'm going to give 3 or 4 stars, it's how conflicted I am. I loved so much Conor and Jake, the storytelling and the atmosphere... Anyhow, I can't wait to read Jarret's story in the next instalment!

" I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book. Thank you!"
